Court comes to order

leave a comment »

The jury came into the courtroom and the judge made sure everyone was here. Then he called a recess and the jury left to continue deliberations.

The judge, court clerks, reporters and a few family members are here in the courtroom. (about 25 people)

I’ll be here waiting and will keep you updated on what’s going on.

Jury deliberations continue today

leave a comment »

The jury will continue deliberations after 9 a.m.

Yesterday all the reporters and spectators waited in the courtroom while the jury deliberated. The judge even remained on the bench for the whole time.

The jurors spent the night in a local hotel with no phones and no television.

The alternate jurors are not involved in the deliberations but they are also sequestered. They have been hanging out on another floor during deliberations.

The judge should be in here in about five minutes. Then we’ll know the schedule for today.

Jury’s request denied

The jury wanted to see the YSTR DNA graphs, but since they weren’t entered into evidence, the jury can’t see them. They were in the courtroom all of two minutes.

Jury has a question

The attorneys have been called back, Fred Cooper is back in the room – because the jury has a question. I believe it is regarding YSTR DNA, but not totally sure.
